|
Don Hudson, one of the two potters who operate the Town Mill Pottery, runs the evening pottery classes twice a week, from 6.00pm - 9.00pm, on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Each class can take up to six people at a time for 10 week courses, starting towards the end of September each year. |

The courses take place in the fully equipped working pottery in the Town Mill complex, in the centre of Lyme Regis. The pottery is located in the old stable block in the mill courtyard. In addition to three wheels, the pottery has benches for hand-building and its own electric and gas kilns. Once the basic techniques are covered, students are encouraged to develop their own projects within a supportive environment. |

Students have all the facilities, clays and glazes of the pottery available to them. Some previous students have also brought in materials that, once tested to prove to be compatible, have also been used. |
