Lyme Regis Lifeboat Week This annual event takes place in the last week of July each year - 21-28 Jul in 2012. Activities and displays throughout the week - including the Red Arrows.   Lyme Regis Atlantic 75 lifeboatRed Arrows over Lyme Regis 2007
             
Lyme Regis Regatta and Carnival Week Another annual event, usually in the first week of August - 4-12 August in 2012.  Over 80 events in 9 days. Processions, plus fun and games for all the family throughout the week.  
             
Lyme Regis Artsfest  This too has become an artisitic annual event and is being held from 8-16 September in 2012. Art events all over the town, including shows, workshops and participation events for all ages.  
             
The Jurassic Coast is a spectacular ninety-five miles of coastline, from Exmouth to Purbeck, It's a World Heritage site because of its superb geology and fossils. Lyme Regis is one of the site's Gateway Towns.  
             
Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre aims to help you explore the Jurassic Coast through its fossils, geology, history and management. It offers information, walks and fossil weekends.   
             
Lyme Regis Museum, in the centre of the town, has a very rich collection for a small town. Find out about fossils and Mary Anning, guided fossil walks, shipwrecks and the sea, the Undercliff, the Civil War and Lyme's many famous authors.
