Alison specialises in making graphic, monochrome images. She has a particular passion
for shadows and in this exhibition she aims to illustrate the many ways in which shadows
feature in our daily lives.
Most of the work in the exhibition has been created using digital photography but Alison
has recently started using film and some of the prints have been produced from
negatives. Alison uses a hybrid system, developing the film herself and then scanning

Alison is a fellow of the Royal Photographic Society and is actively involved in her local
photographic community as a member of both the Bridport Camera Club and Dorset
Independent Photographers as well as being the founding member of a monochrome
