There is plenty of family fun at the Mill over half term and we will also have a special two days of spooky activities for children happening in October for Halloween.
No booking is required to visit the Mill and entry is free of charge, please consider supporting the Mill with a donation and shop purchase before you go! Thank you.
What’s happening:
The Mill will be open 11am - 3pm with flour milling demonstrations to watch throughout the day and our huge water wheel will be turning for all to see.
Look out for the friendly Town Mill ghost, travelling through the Mill on our ancient sack hoist!
Spot the Halloween Monsters as you look around the Mill, free activity sheets will be available for children to fill in during their visit.
11am - 130pm Our tasting table will be available for you to sample some ghostly Halloween bakes, made with our wholemeal flour. Halloween baking kits will be available to purchase in our shop.
10am, 1130am & 130pm ‘Mini Monster Miller’ sessions (see below) - children can mill their own flour to take home and make Halloween biscuits!
We would love to see your spooky Halloween costumes, so do come along ready to scare us!
MINI MONSTER MILLER EXPERIENCE UPGRADE - £12.50 per child
During your visit why not join us for a special Halloween Mini Monster Milling experience!
Children will receive a bag of grain which they will hand mill, using a mini stone-ground milling machine to produce their own bag of wholemeal wheat flour to take away and make Halloween biscuits at home.
The experience will also include a visit to the Mill to see the friendly Town Mill ghost and a mini monster cupcake to enjoy, made with our Town Mill flour.
The Mini Miller Experience is suitable for school age children and they must be accompanied by an adult (no ticket required). Please allow up to 1 hour for the session.
The experience includes: Mini milling session, 300g wholemeal wheat flour, biscuit recipe and Halloween cookie cutter.
Sessions will run at 10am, 1130pm & 130pm over the two days, to guarantee a place we advise prebooking.
