Sidmouth Felt & Fibre

I have enjoyed ‘making’ things from an early age including miniature gardens and dolls clothes which eventually led to my degree in Fashion and Textiles. I married and had my children and then trained as a primary school teacher.

I retired to Sidmouth almost 9 years ago and was inspired by the amount of creativity and craft around me.  I discovered a Fibrecraft course at Bicton College which included wet felting and eco printing and have since developed a range of crafts that I enjoy, which include using fabric, dyes, wool, paper, decoupage, copper, alcohol inks and painting.  I like to make stylised pictures as well as 3D objects.  I always have a project on the go and like to experiment with new methods.

My inspiration comes from photos I take as well as visiting exhibitions, craft fairs and watching You Tube.

I run the regular craft fairs held at Kennaway House, Sidmouth where I enjoy linking with other crafters, sharing ideas and knowledge.
