The Strawberry Tree
The Town Mill houses a little taste of Spain. The Strawberry Tree serves cake and drinks from 11am to 3pm and tapas from 6pm ’til late.
Chef Giselle is the latest in a long line of chefs in her family. She trained in some of the best kitchens in Gibralter and Spain. The Strawberry Tree serves the recipes Giselle inherited, filled with the rich history and aromatic flavours of southern Spain and the Atlas mountains.
Ed lived in Madrid for many years, working as a translator. His Spanish mother-in-law (and his greedy gene) instilled a passion for Spanish food.
Giselle and Ed met, not in Spain, but in a Dorchester restaurant. The Strawberry Tree is the result of that meeting and their mutual love of good, simple (but never ordinary) Spanish food.
Just call in and say ‘Hola’ to Ed and Giselle during the day, but it’s best to book in the evening. Tables in the restaurant and the courtyard garden.
