Town Mill artisan flour is unique in more ways than one. Milled by hand in our mediaeval watermill, each batch of grain is carefully processed by one of our volunteer community, who has been trained to follow a traditional stoneground milling method.
You can purchase our delicious flour in our shop. as well as a range of baking kits. Whichever bag of flour you choose to buy, you can be sure that your purchase directly benefits our charitable trust, which keeps the historic Town Mill running. The Town Mill Flour product range currently includes:
Wheat, using strong Maris Widgeon heritage grain grown locally at Tamarisk Farm in West Bexington, Dorset (behind Chesil Beach)
Rye, also from cereal organically grown at Tamarisk Farm. This low-in gluten, highly flavoured grain is excellent for people who have an intolerance to wheat.
Spelt, using grain from the organic estate Sharpham park near Glastonbury on the Somerset levels, where spelt has been grown since the Bronze and Iron ages.
