The Town Mill Grain to Loaf Experience – Friday 7th June 2024

Enjoy a unique journey from grain to loaf here at The Town Mill this June. Experience a private flour milling demonstration with one of our expert Millers, hear all about the grains we use and how we still mill here on site, using a water wheel and stone-ground method to produce healthy, nutritious, wholemeal flour.

Afterwards, your Miller will join you for a delicious light lunch at the Strawberry Tree Restaurant in a private space. Enjoy charcuterie, cheeses, salads and pickles, accompanied by bread, made with our own, delicious Town Mill flour (bread made by Black Dog Tea Room, Uplyme).

Before you leave, you will take away some of our Town Mill flour with a bread recipe for you to try at home!

Itinerary:

1030am – Tea & Coffee at The Strawberry Tree and meet your Miller.

11am-1215pm – Head over to the Mill for a private tour and flour milling demonstration.

1215pm – Your Miller will join you for a light lunch at The Strawberry Tree Restaurant, here on site. Enjoy charcuterie, cheeses, pickles & salad, accompanied by bread, made using our Town Mill flour. A drink is also included (beer, wine or soft).

130pm – Finish and take away your Town Mill flour & bread recipe.
